About event
So proud x Zojazz Stage | Marion Vervoort & Louise Hensen
In 2025, Fiere Vrouwen celebrates its 10th anniversary in collaboration with the Zojazz Stage. From January to November 2025 female musical talent from 15:30 - 17:00 is in the spotlight. Surprising shows every month on Sunday afternoon in the Zandkasteel in Amsterdam-Zuidoost.
Marion Vervoort is a singer and songwriter. With her music, Marion creates an atmosphere that both touches and inspires. Her voice is warm, powerful and full of emotion, which makes every song feel like a story. On her album "The real game" she sings about loving, writing your herself and finding your own meaning.
Together with the piano sounds of Egbert Derix, who know how to move the listener to every fiber, a concert of these musicians is a beautiful mix of heart-drauent music, a hint of jazz and poetic texts. Marion has a great love for making and sharing his own music. Something that is felt by the listener.
This afternoon you can also listen to a concert by singer Louise Hensen. In 2017, Louise debuted with her album "Do What You Gotta Do - A Nina Simone Tribute". The album received rave reviews, as well as Louise's voice described as "an enchanting warm alto" (AD) and "A new big voice in Dutch jazz" (jazz flits). This afternoon Louise performs with the talented (bass) guitarist Lennart van Dijk. Together they bring a mix of their own work and re -colored jazz songs about love, desires and the search for yourself. While Lennart creates musical landscapes, Louise sings your heart.
