ZO! Mute Afrovibes Festival 2025

So! Mute is a double Bill dance performance in which two of the largest South African choreographers Vincent Mantsoe and Gregory Maqoma reflect on human sacrifice and spiritual power. Six dancers images of how spiritual power can overcome our greed, sadness and loss of dignity. They are accompanied by hypnotic and rhythmic music and enchant the audience with their powerful and exuberant movements. This is how the old artistic dance power of South Africa results in a modern dance performance.

in Zo! Van Vincent Mantsoe plays the dancers a legacy of greed, despair and weakness and give a manifestation of power. Maqoma responds to a mansoe with mute, who gives strength to voices and bodies to confront greed with the spiritual power of the human mind. So! Mute is performed by dancers from Vuyani Dance Theater in Johannesburg.
