About event
From November to February, four workshops await you, where you can learn something you don't know, for example embroidery; you can transform an old and "looked after" piece from your wardrobe into a new and interesting, maybe even eccentric piece; you can make an unusual piece of jewelry or decoration; entangle the doll and maybe other surprises. All this from fabric scraps or old textile pieces.
🧵We embroider new from the old🧵
21. 11. 2024 we will start at 17:00 with embroidery. Bring pieces of fabric, old (or maybe even new) piece of clothing (or bag, dress, curtain...) that you would like to decorate with hand embroidery.
If you don't know how to embroider, it doesn't matter, you will learn the basics.
If you know how to embroider, maybe there is some embroidery that you are afraid to start, or you don't know how to embroider on clothes.
Come get inspired and take your embroidery to the next level. Needles, thread and scissors will be provided, but feel free to bring your own supplies. And if you have embroidery threads, pieces of fabric, buttons, larger beads that you don't use at home, bring them too, they will definitely find use in the Re-use center.
We look forward to seeing you at the Re-use center, which was created , to teach us that things can get a second chance. And not just things. Let's renew our joy of handicrafts, which have always been a part of human culture. Let's find our way again to people with whom we are connected by the same interest. Let's revive the old traditions of steamers and spinning wheels, although perhaps without spinning and steaming. In this case, it could be embroidery machines. Join us on the journey of rediscovering communities that can change the world.
