The third workshop on January 15, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. will again be about textile scraps. This time, we will use the leftovers to make a doll - a doll made of pieces of fabric. Motanki played an important role in the daily life of the ancient Slavs.
They served as a symbol of fertility and protectors from adverse forces. Today, motanka are no longer usually associated with rituals. They serve as an expression of style, decoration or toy. Take the opportunity to come and make one. Everything you need will be available, but if you have something made of fabric at home that you want to give a new life or shape to, feel free to bring it.
Workshops are free.
We look forward to seeing you at the Re-use center, which was created to teach us that things can be given a second chance. And not just things. Let's renew our joy of handicrafts, which have always been a part of human culture. Let's find our way again to people with whom we are connected by the same interest. Let's revive the old traditions of steamers and spinning wheels, although perhaps without spinning and steaming. In this case, it could be embroidery machines. Join us on the journey of rediscovering communities that can change the world.
