🔺 Confession is one of the very intimate meetings of man with the Church. How do we understand it theologically? What responsibility actually carries a confessor? Is the confessional secret absolute, or should it have its boundaries? How does it differ from the professional silence of doctors, psychologists or lawyers? Will it stand up to the face of new ethical challenges, such as dealing with cases of abuse? In this theological reflection, we will look for answers to questions concerning not only faith but also the conscience, justice and responsibility.
He works at the Department of Sytematic Theology and Philosophy of KTF UK. He is the editor -in -chief of the Salve Revue and the guarantor of the Dominican platform 8.

Cycle:
The planned contract between the Czech Republic and the Holy See showed that confession is not only a matter of internal life of the Church, but also a legal and social topic. What do we know about him? And what should we know? The first meeting will focus on the legal dimension of this topic. The second opens the theological-pastoral perspective, ie as the Church balances the conscience of the confessor, responsibility for others and the duty of confidentiality. In the final meeting we will look at the experience of chaplains and their daily work in an environment where confessional secrets encounters the reality of spiritual services in prisons.
