Look forward to a very special autumn afternoon at Salon Schinkelplatz in Berlin. We ART BREAKERS are invited to the impressive collection of contemporary art in the private rooms (with a beautiful view of the Berlin City Palace and the television tower) ofManuel Koch.

The Berliner developed a passion for media and business at an early age. After studying in Mainz, he started his career at the news channel N24, worked in the business editorial department and later reported live from Wall Street in New York as chief US correspondent. He founded his own media company Inside Wirtschaft in Berlin and has been developing innovative formats for online platforms ever since. Since 2022, he has been moderating the exclusive talk show “Salon Schinkelplatz”, which regularly brings together personalities from business, culture, science and society.

In parallel to his media career, Manuel Koch developed a passion for contemporary art. His collection includes over 100 works, including positions by established artists such as Gerhard Richter and Jeff Koons, but also emerging talents such as Kiriakos Tompolidis and Nils Ben Brahim. It is particularly important to him to discover young artists early and to accompany them over the years. Another focus of his collection is on queer artists such as Alexander Basil, Brandon Lipchik and Logan T. Sibrel.

In a conversation with Annette, he talks about his passion for art, collecting and his unusual career. We are full of anticipation and curious about this extraordinary insight - and of course you also have the opportunity to ask questions over a glass of Crémant (or water) and enjoy the opportunity to experience an art collector where art is not only exhibited, but lived.
