About event
COUNTY MARKETS WILL COME AGAIN TO YOUR CITY
Come and support your region. 💛
Spring is in full swing and the squares come alive not only with the bustle of people, but also with the tradition of fairs, where the general public meets local masters of old crafts.
County markets in Zvolen will be held on May 22, 2026 at SNP Square.
County markets are part of supporting local craftsmen and producers of traditional regional specialties from individual regions of the Banskobystrica region. Thanks to them, you have a unique opportunity to get to know the bearers of traditions and keepers of craft procedures, often with innovative elements, exchange a few words with them and support their work by buying a product.
Zvolenské námestie will come alive during this day with stalls marked REGIONALNE, which will be filled with handmade products from more than 40 local producers and sellers, the buzz of the fair and the curious looks of visitors.
You will be able to admire honey plants, wood and leather products, natural cosmetics, but also beautiful ceramics and textile decorations for the home. As befits a proper market, there will be no shortage of goodies - from honey, sea buckthorn, chili or aronia.
County markets will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
At 3:00 p.m. we will also symbolically open the County Markets with a short cultural program. The children's folklore group Zornička will perform.
You can come and try selected crafts and create something beautiful at the creative workshops.
Come to the County Markets in Zvolen and get to know the beauty and wealth of our ancestors hidden under the REGIONALNE brand. Help spread good news about regional producers - it's enough if you buy one beautiful or useful product.
And by buying a product, you can also participate in the RAFFLE and compete for attractive prizes. We draw a package of regional products worth €50 every Monday after the County Markets. Maybe the next one will be yours. 😊
At the same time, you can also enter the grand final draw for the main prizes, which will take place on October 12:
✨ 3rd prize: gift voucher for experiences in the Banskobystrica region worth €50
✨ 2nd prize: gift voucher for the purchase of regional products worth €100
✨ 1st prize: gift voucher for a stay for two people for 1 night at Hotel Zerrenpach with half board
Shop local, participate in the raffle and maybe you will walk away with an extraordinary prize!
