🌿 Celebrate Children's Day with ZUŠ Open
From 1 p.m., the program will belong mainly to children, their parents and grandparents. We invite you to dozens of music and dance performances of various genres - from classical to pop and jazz to folklore - performed by 800 pupils from 40 elementary art schools from all over the country.
Art workshops will be prepared for everyone who likes to create, regardless of age. Come and enjoy together a holiday full of art, joy and inspiration that really belongs to children, on and below the stage. And instead of souvenir bags, you will take home beautiful memories of exceptional artistic experiences performed by the youngest generation.
🎶 Festive evening concert
The packed program will close with the opulent final concert of this year's ZUŠ Open festival. Works by Bohuslav Martinů, Leoš Janáček, Colin Mawby and Witold Lutosławský will be performed. The concert culminates with the vocal-instrumental work "Celebrations of Spring" by Otmar Mácha, performed by 350 choristers from all over the Czech Republic under the direction of the legendary choirmaster prof. by Jiří Chvála, with dance choreography by Živana Vajsarová performed by the Jaro ensemble. Children's choirs from elementary art schools will provide artistic support to Kühn's children's choir, to whom the composition was dedicated by the author.
Also performing will be the Pardubice Primary School Orchestra, piano virtuoso Karel Košárek, violist and conductor Jiří Kabát and soprano Irena Pohl Houkalová.
The complete program can be found athttps://www.zusopen.cz/program/program-2026/den-pro-zus-ve-valdstejnske-zahrade-senatu-parlamentu-cr/.
The program is implemented under the patronage of the President of the Senate of the Czech Parliament Miloš Vystrčilo and senatorial clubs ODS and TOP 09,
Mayors and independents, ANO 2011, KDU-ČSL and independents, SEN 21 and Pirates.
