When darkness falls over Prague, the Rock Café will be transformed into the scene of a ritual that will take us back to the times when the forests were deep and the gods were cruel. The evening will be opened by Prague's Irish-rock staple Vintage Wine. The band, which has three albums under its belt and experience from stages alongside legends such as Uriah Heep or The Wolfe Tones, for one evening leaves its traditional side of the street and its home scene in the Vagón club to unleash a whirlwind of its original creations scented with Irish wildness and rock drive at the Rock Café.
After that, the Polish phenomenon Żywiołak will completely engulf the space - an unadulterated gateway to forgotten times. Slavic demonology and pre-Christian mysticism. Led by Robert Jaworský, this formation has been resurrecting the shadows of our ancestors since 2005 through the hypnotic sound of the korbow lyre, renaissance flutes and a shamanic roar that intertwines with modern experimental darkness.
Their music, raw as freshly dug clay, inherently belongs to the greatest gaming sagas. Selected Żywiołak compositions appeared on the soundtracks of The Witcher 2 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, where their archaic melodies helped define the raw atmosphere of Geralt of Rivia's world. They also left their unmistakable traces in the musical accompaniment of hits such as World of Tanks or League of Legends.
They bring to Prague, among other things, material from their seminal 2022 album Dekonstrukcja historyczna I. This album is a bold reconstruction of broken Slavic myths and Christmas songs of our pagan fathers, which brought the band victory in the prestigious Wirtualne plebiscite Gęśle.
Get ready for an evening where Irish blood mixes with Slavic dust and history comes alive in the unbridled energy of the present moment. This concert will not be just an ordinary musical performance, it will be a raw connection with the roots that still pulsate in us.
