Culture Shock

James Puntney alias Culture Shock has always been close to music. At first it was playing the violin, clarinet and drums, which he later changed to composing drum and bass and stayed at it. After all, music was in the family, because his parents performed in the opera, and Culture Shock listened to a wide range of musical genres - from jazz to house.

His very first album was released under the label Moving Shadow, when the fathers of Culture Shock and Dom they worked together. The result was the Vega EP. However, the era of the Moving Shadow label was slowly coming to an end, and James waited two years for the next album.

Then he was discovered by Andy C for his label Ram Records. Andy was first caught by the song Bypass, but over the years he produced a number of other catchy songs. For example Rework together with Brookes Brothers, Kronix, Bad Red or Protection.
