Cables 101 - A workshop for everyone who wants to get into cable knitting

A workshop dedicated to try different cable techniques, learn how to read charts and get ready for your first cable project

Welcome to cables 101

Join us at Lanuette for a fun and cosy evening where you get to know all there is about cables and knitting them. Whether you want to knit your first cable sweater, have struggled with cables in the past or simply want to try out a new technique this one is for you ! This workshop is for people who are advanced beginners and up. Some knitting skills are required.

Learn how to read charts, discover different versions of cables and try out your first swatch.
If you already have a project in mind you can bring your own yarn or simply buy it during the workshop and we do the start together! A booklet with charts and instructions as well as yarn for the swatches will be provided. Bring your own knitting needles (4 or 4.5 or 5 mm). A few spare knitting needles are available at site to use during the workshop

Cable needles will be provided for the workshop and can be bought on site if you wnat to continue cable knitting at home.

We will cast on swatches together and try out different cables. We will try the swatchews togetehr, everyone in their own pace. So no rush, just get in the crafting mode at your own pace. For all further questions and help with the project, you can come to the monthly SSK knitting events.
