Alexandra Cihanská Machová

Alexandra Cihanská Machová (*1985), composer and sound artist from Sabinov (Slovakia). She currently works in Prague (Czech Republic), where in 2019 she completed her master's program at the Center for Audiovisual Studies at FAMU. Before that, she studied Multimedia Composition at JAMU in Brno, and Musicology at MUNI in Brno. Her main means of expression is sound in various forms, from acoustic instruments, field recordings, to live coding and others, but it often connects with other media as well. In the past, she used to work with larger forms such as the multimedia concert, currently she deals more intensively with sound in space, sound installation, and recently also with sound in a virtual environment. He also makes music for film, theater and radio, works with moving images.
