Anakin

Drum'n'bass first reached Anakin sometime in 1997 in the form of the "Atmospheric Drum'n'bass" compilation. He liked the syncopated beat and sci-fi sounds, put it in the "I listen to it sometimes" box and didn't deal with it any further. It wasn't until about a year later that a smaller open air was held at Turnov, where, in addition to the obligatory house DJs at the time, IM Cyber and Suki (who were just starting out at the time) also played. There he discovered that he enjoyed jumping to a fast broken beat more than anything else and started looking for the first CDs and information. He visited several other parties, where he especially liked the sound of Renegade Hardware et al. and then when my brother (Sweg) and his friend (Starks) bought a gramophone, he tried to buy a few records and practice.

The first playing came unexpectedly quickly - after about 3 months in the now defunct tournament club Peklo. He himself remembers it with the words: "it must have been a horror"; however, together with Sweg, Vibezoom and Starks, he started visiting the surrounding clubs and gaining experience.

In 2002, Sweg organized a Cinematique party with several foreign guests in Turnov's Old Cinema. It was followed by a series of smaller, but all the more popular parties, at which names such as Koogi, Im Cyber, Philip TBC, Babe LN took turns. Those who were there will surely remember. Meanwhile, the first successes in the field of djing came: playing in the New talent tent at Open Air Field 2003, then winning the performance competition at Summer of Love 2003, an offer to collaborate on Shadowbox and participating in booking.

Anakin played alongside DJs like Fabio, High Contrast, Ed Rush, Kosheen, Brooklyn, Nu:Tone, EZ Rollers, or Marky. At parties, he prefers energetic drum and bass with a striking beat and dense jumping bass, he does not disdain elements of funk, old school, or vocals; actually nothing of quality from Noisia to Calibra. He tries to play the most varied dance sets, in which you will definitely hear Netsky, Logistics, Loadstar, Basher, Spectrasoul, Sub Focus, Ed Rush & Optical, High Contrast, Matrix and here and there his own production.
