Beata Hlavenková

Beata Hlavenková, a pianist, composer, singer, arranger and producer, is distinguished by her over-genre authorship. In the words of the artist: Her main currency is courage – the courage to experiment, to look for unconventional harmonies and arrangements. Genre freedom, based on a deep awareness of jazz, modern classical music, pop and songwriting, blends in all her projects with a clearly recognizable focused and sensitive interpretation.

She has six solo albums to her credit. . Joy For Joel (2009), piano Theodoros (2013), then Scintilla (2015), Bethlehem (2017 ) and albums of songs and poems set to music Sně (2019) and Žijutė (2021). All recordings received nominations for the Angel Award and two of them were converted. (Theodoros, Sně).

Hlavenková collaborates with both Czech and international musicians, composes music for the film (Dukla 61, Zátopek, Král Šumavy: Fantom temného kraje) and theater ( VerTeDance and others), for children (Pišlické stories, Ó, ó, ó, egg), arranges songs, from small forms in acoustic form or sound design, to symphony orchestra.
