Bledar Zajmi
The cellist Bledar Zajmi is the concertmaster of the Opera Orchestra of the National Theater in Prague. And also an important soloist with a rich concert activity on three continents in more than 30 countries of the world. So far, he has released 15 CDs at home and abroad as a soloist and chamber player with a wide repertoire of musical creations from baroque to contemporary music. He started playing the cello at the age of six in his native Tirana, Albania. After graduating from the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, he participated in a number of master classes, e.g. with professor B. Pergametschikow at the Cello Academy in Kronberg, Germany or with professor J. Chuchr at the Summer Academy in Austria Semmering. He is a laureate of international competitions such as Palma d´Oro (1999) Italy, Premio Rovere d´Oro (2004). His artistic performances are highly rated by professional critics. Bledar Zajmi plays the French instrument Mirecourt.
