Bubureza
The women's chamber choir Buburez was founded by choirmaster Miloslava Vítková in 2008. Buburez is a versatile group whose repertoire includes Gregorian chant and contemporary music. The choir is also devoted to works of the 20th and 21st centuries thanks to the influence of composer Jan Rybář as a choirmaster and composer, who has been working with Buburez since 2013. Since its foundation, the choir has been working at the Gymnasium and Music School of the capital. m. Prague, ZUŠ (GMHS).
The choir achieved several successes at competitions such as Praga Cantat (2010, 2013), Festival of choral art in Jihlava (2010 , 2011, 2015) or Bratislava Cantat (2013). In 2022, the choir took part in the Choralia Praha competition, where it won a gold band in the category of chamber choirs and a special prize for an excellent performance of the folk song Teče voda, teče arranged by Milan Uherek.
performs as part of the Music in Context concert series. Jan Rybář's music for the silent film Vampire Nosferatu was interpreted by Buburez at the festival Das Filmfest (2015) and for the film Organist at St. Welcome to the Prague Spring festival (2019). The choir cooperates with the Prague Modern ensemble, the orchestra of the Gymnasium and the Central Music School. of the city of Prague or the vocal group Vosk. He premiered compositions by Jiří Gemrot, Jan Rybář, Jaroslav Rybář, Jan Bernátek Hanuš Bartoná, Michaela Plachká and Jan Vičar.In 2018, the ensemble recorded the CD Buburez, which captures the core repertoire of the ensemble.
