Čendeš

Slovak ethno band was founded in 2011. It is characterized as a Ruthenian mish-mash from Banská Bystrica, strongly influenced by diverse music - from Slovak, Roma and Balkan folklore to pop music to jazz. The sextet of young musicians has a successful debut album with the paradoxical title Best of. The album was nominated for the debut of the year award in the Radio Head Awards 2015 competition. The musicians' strongest weapon are concerts, where they win the sympathy of the audience with new, modern arrangements of old Ruthenian songs.
