Cold Cold Nights

Cold Cold Nights have been active on the independent scene since 2015. The band was formed around Jakub Jirásek, formerly known under the pseudonym "J". The debut record (The) Last Summer received positive reviews from both music journalists and the public. It also earned nominations for the Anděl and Apollo awards.

Cold Cold Nights have always been among the most active bands in concert. They played dozens to hundreds of concerts, including destinations across Europe from France to Bosnia. They preceded bands like Sleep Party People, Cymbals Eat Guitars and were co-founders of the "semi-secret" Miro festival.

Second album Ten Years Laterwas released in late 2022 on DIY label Black Pear Label and earned an Apollo Award nomination for Record of the Year. Eight songs with a wide range of sounds from synths and organs to trumpet and glockenspiel are a little poppier than the previous album, but still maintain the unmistakable facade of lo-fi indie. It was produced by band member Štěpán Oves, who also has the album Tamara – Anderson on his account.

The live performances of Cold Cold Nights are known for their sensitive light design, which is taken care of by the fifth member of the group, Klára Došková.
