Dietmar Ippu Herriger
Dietmar IPPu Herriger is a German multi -instrumentalist, a flute teacher, saxophone, clarinet and jackhara.
comes from Langenfeld, Germany. He studied art history and musicology in Marburg and Flute at Detmold Music School. In 1988 he went to Fukuoks in Japan to learn to play Shakuhachi. Dietmar also became the priest of the temple of Saikoji. Since 1989 he has often returned to Japan to complete his studies. He teaches flute, saxophone, clarinet and Shakuhachi at the Leo Kestenberg music school in Berlin. He performs solo with Shakuhachi, flute and living electronics, but is also a member of the Kunst der Pause saxophonists. Since 2006 he has been performing with Vill Villa, Tiit Kalls and Taavo Remmel in Estonia. There he also served as a priest. After twenty -four years of Jackuak's studies with ITCHON representatives, he won the championship title and the art name of IPPU in 2012.
