Divadlo bratří Formanů

The Forman Brothers Theater has been one of the most prominent artistic groups in the Czech theater for twenty-five years. However, with its unconventional concept, style of work and poetics, it completely deviates from it. In addition to the brothers Petr and Matěj Forman and a few permanent members (Veronika Švábová, Andrea Sodomková, Josef Sodomka, Marko Ivanovič and Ivan Arsenjev), a new team is created for each performance, bringing new energy and skills.

Theater the Forman brothers does not have its own building or permanent stage. He usually creates his performances in specific environments, such as the Theater Ship Tajemstvi or various types of mobile tents. This is related to the nomadic life that the members of the theater profess. With their projects, they travel not only in the Czech Republic, but also throughout Europe (or the USA and Mexico), where they have already performed thousands of reruns, often at very prestigious venues and festivals. This has earned them a high degree of credit, and each of their next performances is not only anticipated, but is created in co-production with leading theater partners in France or Belgium. This is what makes the Forman Brothers Theater quite unique in the Czech theater environment.
