Divadlo Continuo

Theater Continuo is an international independent theater group led by director and artistic director Pavel Štourač. Since 1995, the group has been permanently located and formed in a small village of Malovice, 25 km from České Budějovice, in the premises of the former farmhouse named Plum Court. Movement, physical acting, dance, circus techniques, live music, as well as distinctive art stylization - all creates unmistakable poetics of individual productions. However, it is not very important for Continu creators whether their work will be characterized as a physical or visual theater, as well as the actors Continua is not important whether they are playing or dancing. Much more important than aesthetics and style questions is the essential search and processing of the topic, the need to work together, to be surprised, to be surprised, to learn, develop, and share the results of work with viewers.

for acting work Continua is characterized by the search for an authentic, personal expression by combining art and physical acting, rhythm and musicality. Everyday acting work includes regular acting training, workshops, continuous acquaintance with acting, voice and dance techniques, as well as individual and common laboratory and research work. The theater consciously follows the tradition of the creators of the second theater reform.
