Evan Gregoire

Evan specializes in bringing back lost heirloom plants and heritage animals and putting them back on productive homesteads, farms, and (most importantly) - the table. Working in the Pacific Northwest, Evan supports over 500 different varieties each year and offers them internationally through the Heirloom Seedhouse online store. He also cultivates private culinary gardens for chefs in the Portland-Vancouver area. With over 20 years of experience, Evan has worked with some incredibly talented people to push the level of creativity and highlight forgotten yet flavorful varieties into the limelight. His seed collection is primarily European focused but loves to share his knowledge and the stories of varieties that are in need of stewardship. The farm is teeming with beneficial insects and embodies many regenerative practices including JADAM methods that are used to boost the soil health and support a vital living ecosystem. In order to restore the soil, you must think of the soil as the body, and what you would do for your own body.
