Fotocrime

Fotocrime consists of singer, guitarist and producer Ryan Patterson, guitarist Nick Thieneman and bassist Will Allard. Founded on danceable drum machines and layered synths, Fotocrime are known for their transcendental post-punk with electronic and organic elements, driving bass, ringing guitars and Patterson's unmistakable baritone.

Fotocrime formed in early 2017 and released two EPs that same year, Always Hell and Always Night, followed by their first the full-length album Principle Of Pain (2018), the second and third albums, South Of Heaven (2020) and Heart Of Crime (2021), and in 2022 Fotocrime self-released Alcoves, a collection of covers by Leonard Cohen, Portishead, Discharge and others.

During the past half-decade, Fotocrime several times toured the United States, Canada, Mexico and Europe in concerts and tours with Nitzer Ebb, Soft Kill, Hide, Crippled Black Phoenix, Bleakness, Russian Circles, Emma Ruth Rundle, Jawbox and Pop.1280 among others and performed at the venerable festivals Roadburn, Amplifest and Electric Funeral.

Fotocrime's fourth album and first for the new label Artoffact Records, Accelerated, is a leap forward for the band from their signature darkwave post-punk into new territory. The album contains electronic rock anthems, soulful sophist pop, minimalistic synth punk, hints of italo-disco and dreamy art rock.
