Front Line Assembly
Canadian music group Front Line Assembly is a big name in hard electronic music of the eighties and nineties. They personified an absolute cult following across electronic styles, even though they never succumbed to the lure of commercialism. Thanks to their raw industrial music, which later became appreciably progressive, the group (or rather the project, since the only original member is Bill Leeb, around whom countless talented musicians took turns) never crossed the threshold of the underground, performing mostly in smaller clubs and, after all, also after visual or ideological - from an aesthetic point of view, the musicians, including the fifty-five-year-old frontman, suggestively evoke the good old "cyberpunk" school of the late eighties, a time that has apparently already irretrievably rolled away under the onslaught of the emerging superficial internet generation.
