Ghost-Note

Ghost-Note is fronted by Robert Searight and Nate Werth, multiple Grammy winners from Snarky Puppy. Both founders of the band, Searight and Werth, are from Texas, and their common goal is music based on percussion and an eternally pulsating rhythm. The line-up was enriched by the sidemen of such stars as Prince, Snoop Dogg, Erykah Badu, Herbie Hancock and Kendrick Lamar. In terms of genre, they build on the funk foundations laid by Fela Kuti, Talking Heads and James Brown, and transform them into an instrumental explosion.

The group was formed in 2015, both of its studio albums received worldwide acclaim and reached the top of the iTunes jazz charts . On the second of them, Swagism, one of the world's most in-demand jazzmen, saxophonist Kamasi Washington, was a guest. Critics wrote that the band's sound expands on it in every conceivable direction, including funk, psychedelia and disco. The third studio album Mustard n'Onions is released in 2024.
