Gorillaz

Gorillaz is a British virtual band formed in 1998 by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett. The band consists of 4 animated members: 2-D (lead singer, keyboards), Murdoc Niccals (bass guitar and vocals), Noodle (guitar, keyboards) and Russel Hobbs (drums and percussion). These members are fictitious and are not the personality of any of the group members. Their fictional universe is explored through their website, music videos and several short animated stories. In fact, Albarn is the only permanent contributor of music, and the rest of the music is collaborations with various musicians.
