Halflives

Although Halflives was originally an alt rock band, today it is a solo musician Linda Battilani. In Linda's own words, Halflives is about “making music for those who feel like outcasts, who feel rejected, pushed away”. A collection of "catchy anthems", Halflives' music is "an invitation to express personal chaos, a message of unity, a celebration of resilience".

Halflives exists to build community and create a space for sharing emotions. Best experienced live, her latest project Inferno is halfway between pop and mid-2000s alt rock nostalgia, a five-song showcase of the emotional turmoil that singer-songwriter Linda Battilani has navigated through in recent years. “I see 'Inferno' as a sign of personal growth both artistically and in my mental health,” she says, speaking of the creative process behind the record, which she experienced as a liberating, limitless and boundary-breaking rebirth herself. “It's my way of saying 'I'm sick of it,'”
