Helena Jiříkovská

Helena Jiříkovská is among the sought-after and recognized Czech violinists. During his studies in Pilsen, Prague, Berlin and participating in many master classes, she worked under the guidance of outstanding personalities such as Jindřiška Holotová, Jiří Tomášek, Jan Tomeš, Eduard Grač, Jacques Ghestem and Isaac Stern.

As a soloist she performed with Czech and foreign orchestras (Bamberger Symphoniker, MDR Sinfonieorchester Leipzig, FOK Prague, Talich Chamber Orchestra, Philharmonie Hradec Králové, Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava, Pardubice Chamber Philharmonic, South Bohemian Philharmonic...).

As a sought-after chamber player, Helena Jiříkovská performs on many Czech and international stages. Among the most important are Wigmore Hall in London, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall New York, Dvořák Hall of the Prague Rudolfinum. Since 1996, Helena Jiříkovská has been the concertmaster of the Talich Chamber Orchestra a member of Smetana's piano trio, in 2001-2008 a member of Janáček's piano trio and in From 2008 to 2022, Škamp's quartet was the mainstay. He also works as a concert master in the Czech National symphony orchestra.

Since 2023, he has been a member of the Symphony Orchestra of the Capital City of Prague, FOK. Together with the Škamp Quartet, she was also active in teaching. In addition to master classes for e.g. the Lake District Summer Music Festival, Dartington Summer School and others, it was mainly a collaboration with the London Royal Academy of Music, where Škamp's quartet was appointed visiting professor in the field of chamber music at the string department.

Since 2023, he has been acting as principal of the Czech Philharmonic Quartet.
