IAMX

IAMX is the solo project of musician Chris Corner, founded in 2004 in London. In addition to music, he also focuses on experiments in the field of visual art. The first album Kiss + Swallow and the subsequent The Alternative became known, with which he confirmed his multi-genre tendencies.

Musically, IAMX moves in various genres from electronic rock and dance music to burlesque-influenced songs and emotional ballads. Corner's distinctive voice and quirky production define the project's sound. IAMX's lyrics deal with topics such as sexual identity, death, love, drug addiction, decadence, criticism of religion and politics, alienation, addiction, modern society and gender. The theme of subverting gender norms is further emphasized by Corner's own distinctive androgynous image.
