Igor Františák

Igor Františák is a Czech clarinetist. Already during his studies he participated in several national and international competitions, where he won these awards - 3. Award in the interpretation competition in Chomutov, 3. Award in the Marc Fiorinda International Competition in Turin (Italy) and the same competition in the chamber game 1. As a soloist, he performed with the Janáček Philharmonic Orchestra Ostrava (conductors Jakub Hrůša, Vladimír Válek, Valentin Uryupin, Heiko Mathias Förster), the Slovak Chamber Orchestra Bochal, Kohlzisches Kammerorchester Mannheim. Szymon Morus), Czech Virtuosi (conductor Eric Lederhandler), South Bohemian Chamber Philharmonic Ceske Budejovice (conductor Jan Talich), Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic (Vojtěch Spurný), Talich Chamber Orchestra, Inter> Camerata (conductor Jan Jakub Bokun) Camerata Janáček, Pavel Haas Quartet, Bennewitz Quartet, Zemlin Quartet, Talich Quartet, Škamp's Quartet, Wihan Quartet, Dvořák Trio and others. He is a founding member of Stadler's clarinet quartet, with which he has been performing for more than 20 years. It also deals with the period interpretation of Chalumeau, Baroque clarinets and Classicist clarinets. As a player on these historical instruments, for example, with collections Collegium 1704, Collegium Marianum, Musica Florea, Ensemble Tourbillon, Ensemble Inégal, Oh! Orkiestra Historyczna (Poland) and Terra Nova Collective (Belgium). Since 2018 he has been a permanent member of the unique set of historical basset corners Lotz Trio.
