Island Mint

The Prague band Island Mint plays indie rock in various forms with references to sunshine pop of the 60s, but also a dose of psychedelia or shoegaze.

The band Island Mint, which has been a revelation on the Prague scene since 2021 A combination of sunshine pop and 60s garage rock with references to 90s shoegaze. From whimsical pop on the EP Island Mint (2021) and through the surreal indie album Irreality (2022), frontman Matyáš Adámek's band released the kraut-tuned EP All Studium No in 2023 Punctum,where the music took on sharper features. For the fourth year already, the five-member band has been successfully convincing the audiences of Czech and foreign clubs and festivals, "that the sun is really shining." Even the judges of Czeching Radio Wave, who sent the band to < em>Eurosonic Noorderslag 2024.
