Jakub Noha Band

Jakub Noha band is a relatively lively formation, in which the only constant is the bearer of its name, engineer Jakub Noha. The other members can be called socks, because during the time that Jakub Noha has been active on our music scene, quite a few of them have changed.

The musical group Jakub Noha band was formed in 1992. The first line-up, fully utilizing the delicious-sounding double voice of Jakub with her brother Jan Noha (drums and vocals), supplemented by the bass guitar of Jan Volné, she recorded the song albums Kde je ten raj, Tady ekő and above all the monothematic conceptual album Na Prahu (specialized with Jan Hrubé's violin). At the beginning of the millennium, this line-up broke up, in the current Noha Band Jakub is accompanied by guitarist Petr Bublák, drummer (and son) Vojtěch Noha and bassist Marek Štulír of Liberecký Jarret. If the sound of the first Noha Band could be compared to the Beatles (which he also liked to play) or Californian folk rock bands, the second incarnation evokes rather the dirty sound of Young's Crazy Horse. The actual work of this musical group is on the border between folk, blues and rock.
