Kamerkoor Amphion

Chamber choir Amphion is a choir for singers who want to make music together with enthusiasm and dedication. We believe that singing pleasure and quality go hand in hand: good singing technique and voice quality form the basis, but it is mainly the energy and effort of our members who bring the choir to life. Twice a year we give a concert with a different theme.

In addition to serious rehearsal, there is plenty of room for fun at Amphion. During the break and after the rehearsals there is always an opportunity to catch up, and according to good tradition we often close the evening with a joint drink. Every year we also celebrate the season closure with a dinner, where everyone brings something tasty.

Our choir currently has 18 members in a nice mix of ages, and we are open to new voices that want to strengthen us. That is why we regularly organize public rehearsals in the Boomsspijker community center (Straight Boomssloot 52, Amsterdam). Want to participate? Kamerkoor Amphion is an association, registered with the Chamber of Commerce (no. 40537382). Members not only contribute musically, but also organizational: in addition to the board, there are active committees, such as the repertoire committee. In our annual members' meeting we discuss the program, policy and the future of our choir.
