Kelpy Cathedral

Kelpy Cathedral is a New York experimental pop project that functions as a high-speed transgender reckoning - a musical coming to terms with oneself, the world and the past. Their work grows out of nostalgia for Long Island and an effort to transform personal sadness into something noisy, alive and liberating.

They create polyvocal soundscapes in which sampled fragments of pop culture, expressive singing and waves of dissonant noise intertwine. The result is skronked out t-pop: raw, emotional and playfully chaotic experimental pop that is not afraid of extremes or vulnerability.
