Kiez&Kids Tour - Entdeckungsreise durch die Stadt
Why did the emperor prefer to stay in the Hotel Adlon rather than in his castle? And why did he call the Reichstag the “Reich Monkey House”? What do Hitler's plans for the world capital "Germania" have to do with today's government district? What do Goethe and a German Shepherd want in the courtyard of the parliamentary office building? And why did the Bundestag have its own sauna?
I invite you to join me on a journey of discovery through the government district. We will explore all these questions, as well as historical, political and artistic backgrounds, on our tour from the Brandenburg Gate, along the Spree to the Reichstag building.
Big and small adults, expectant parents and anyone interested, even without children, are warmly welcome! We mostly walk wide and stroller-friendly paths, make stops whenever we want and also look at the “Bundestag Daycare Ship”.
The city tour is of course free, I would be happy about a small tip, but it is by no means a must. I would just like to tell you something about the city and am looking forward to a relaxed meeting and an exciting exchange.
