Knosis

Knosis is a Japanese music project led by Ryo Kinoshita, former vocalist of the metalcore band Crystal Lake. After leaving Crystal Lake in 2022, Kinoshita founded the Knosis Project as a new creative platform. The project is conceived as an artistic entity including music, visual elements and a personal concept.

The work of Knosis contains elements of metalcore, experimental metal and atmospheric sound layers. Yosh Morita from the studio The Hideout also participates in the creation of the songs, who participates in both the songwriting process and the creation of texts and concepts. Some of the project's compositions refer to themes inspired by video games, which is especially evident in the titles and motifs of the compositions.

Knosis cooperates with the SharpTone Records publishing house. The debut album called Genknosis was released in August 2025 and contains ten tracks. Vocalist Yukina Hanabie is a guest on one of them.

The project is also dedicated to concert activities. In 2024 there was a European tour including a solo headlining performance, followed by concerts in Japan in 2025.

The current work of Knosis focuses on the development of a concept that connects the musical, visual and personal levels. The project is presented as an expression of Ryo Kinoshita's identity, in which music is the basic means of communicating topics related to inner experience and one's own interpretation of the world.
