Lolita Terrorist Sounds

Berlin avant-garde band Lolita Terrorist Sounds was founded by Maurizio Vitale, an Italian drummer, multi-instrumentalist and producer. The name is reminiscent of Nabokov's novel title Lolita and represents a provocative combination of the two. The word "Terrorist" and "Sounds" were added, describing the character and groundbreaking nature of the band's compositions and performances.

The bandleader Vitale has already collaborated in the past and also in the present with well-known bands and artists* such as Swans, Einstürzende Neubauten, Iggy Pop, PJ Harvey and many more.

With Shaved Girl, Lolita Terrorist Sounds landed live gigs in 2018, including opening for Swedish artist Anna von Hausswolff. The single was released as a limited vinyl release on cult label Psychofon Records and comic artist Reinhard Kleist curated the album's artwork and often participated in the band's live performances as a special guest.

The first studio release was in December 2021 with the single Prison Song, which featured Kristof Hahn, the lap steel guitarist of the band Swans.
