Merche Blasco
Merche Blasco is a multimedia artist and composer born in Spain, living in New York and currently living in Berlin. He designs and creates imprecise technological assemblies that catalyze embodied forms of live electroacoustic composition and new ways of listening. Through its engineered devices, Blasco attempts to distance itself from the parameters of precision, power and control. As an alternative form of performance, he creates collaborative spaces with tools that have their own agency. Her body and vivid exploration of organic materials are central to her compositions. She has presented her works in institutions and events such as the Whitney Museum of American Art, La Biennale di Venezia, NIME conferences and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Santiago.
