Miřenka Čechová
Miřenka Čechová (*1982, AŠ) is a Czech representative of dance and physical theater, director, writer and pedagogue. She is a co -founder of the theater group Tantehorse (along with Mime Radim Vizvály) and the art group Spitfire Company (with Petr Boháč). She is the author of the books Miss America (2018) and balletics (2020), the first also staged at the Ponec Theater. MgA.) And Ham (Nonverbal Theater, Ph.D.). She got Fulbright scholarship and worked at the American University in Washington, D.C., where she taught physical theater. He lives alternately in Prague and New York. According to this book, a theater performance of the same name was created at the Ponec Theater, which together with Martin Tvrý connects music, text, rap, slam, stand-up and visual art. In 2019 she was nominated for her work for the Thalia Award. Prose provides a raw view of the study of classical ballet in the 1990s in Prague. At the Drak Theater, together with Dominica Špalková, she created a wall or, as I grew up behind the Iron Curtain, inspired by Petr Sis. The premiere took place in 2019.

She has won a number of international awards, such as the best of the Contemporary Dance The Washington Post (2013). In 2016, she performed at Tedxprague Women as McKenzie Tomski, her art alter ego. She also worked as a program director of the Czech Center in New York.
