Misiconi

Misiconi is a mixed dance company in which dancers with and without disability enter into a choreographic experiment. Misiconi is colorful, quirky, interdisciplinary and diverse. Instead of thinking in labels, Misiconi believes in a world where inclusion is the norm. The Rotterdam company is a platform led by artistic director and choreographer Joop Oonk. The choreographies are constantly investigating unknown aspects of mobility, with fictional and technological extensions of the body and the lived experiences of the inner worlds of the dancers. In 2021, Joop Oonk was nominated for the innovation prize of the Dutch Dance Days.
