MSHR

MSHR is an audiovisual collective formed by the tandem of Birch Cooper and Brenna Murphy. In their work, they explore the potential of electronic systems and cyber contexts, which they capture in the form of AV compositions, installations and live performances. For the last decade, they have been traveling the world with their unique improvised show, the center of which are self-built analog synthesizers. These use feedback to react to light and movement, creating massive, physically stunning and psycho-transformative soundscapes. This is how the emergence of a person from a liquid biological-ecological-technological structure looks and sounds, flashing and howling according to clear incantation formulas.
