Obřany Trio

The Obřany Trio is a trio of instrumentalists, composers and creatives, leading personalities of the contemporary Czech independent music scene, active in the field of jazz, contemporary, avant-garde, experimental and improvised music. All musicians are both precise performers and explorers, philosophically close colleagues, collaborating in various bands and artistic projects. Their music is created on the basis of a common ideological framework – unlimited cross-genre intuitive communication and improvisation, resulting in music that is variable, interactive but always authentic and alive. The players use their instruments to the maximum of their range, both technical and dynamic, thus often reaching highly energetic and expressive positions of musical communication.

The trio performs in the composition of Jakub Švejnar – drums, Pavel Zlámal – tenor & baritone saxophone and Jan Jirucha – trombone & tuba.
