Orchestr VŠCHT

The orchestra of the University of Chemistry and Technology was founded in 2017.

Gradually, the chamber ensemble became one of the largest university orchestras in the Czech Republic. Currently, more than 50 permanent members play in it. They are both current students of VŠCHT, as well as its graduates, employees, and also students of other universities. The orchestra was founded and is conducted purely on student initiative. It offers the audience a diverse repertoire, which is based on both classical and film, jazz or popular music. At the same time, they also perform in smaller groups such as jazz band, string orchestra, string quartet, wind quintet and marching band.
