Parcels

The members of Parcels have played in a wide variety of projects from metal to folk, with a wide variety of inspirations contributing to their unusual resulting sound. Shortly after the founding of the band, they moved to Berlin and it didn't take long before they caught the attention of the Parisian label Kitsuné or the legendary "space" duo Daft Punk, with whom they recorded the song Overnight in the spring of 2017. In October 2018, they released their eponymous debut, Parcels, which received the highest possible rating from NME and was also included in their year-end selection of the best records of the year. According to the magazine, the album is "thought out from beginning to end. It sounds both current and as if from another time - a very rare feat. There really aren't many albums like this anymore." According to Paste magazine, "they evoke the musical spirits of the past, but through the lens of millennials and a dance form, which makes the record necessary and relevant even for the present."
