Peeni Walli

The foundation of Peeni Walli was established in August 2003. The original line-up and the name of the crew have undergone changes since then - the intention to build a sound system quickly disappeared and the name Irie Need was dropped from a grammatical point of view. Over time, the crew settled on two people: Ripclaw and Mihaal. In 2006 selector Ondreej joined.

From Peeni Walli you can hear all the forms of Jamaican music she has acquired since the 60s - ska, roots reggae, rub-a-dub, dancehall and new roots - all of it of course supplemented with many exclusive recordings (dubplates). The selection is usually based on current reggae/dancehall productions from Jamaica and Europe. But Peeni Walli do not exclusively play reggae.
