Pražský salónní orchestr

The Prague Salon Orchestra was founded in 1982 and consisted of only a few musicians. Today, it has 35 permanent members from Prague and the surrounding area, who rehearse once a week. The average age is slightly over 70 years old (the youngest member is 28 years old, the oldest 90 years old). The orchestra's program includes both classical compositions by Czech and international composers, as well as popular evergreens of Czech folk and dance music. The orchestra regularly performs not only at its home venue (Josefská, Anenská or Wenceslas entertainment), but also in other cities - e.g. Teplice Spa, Poděbrady, Municipal House, Prague Castle Gardens, Libeň Castle, Congress Center and others.
