Singfrauen Berlin

The Choir Singfrauen Berlin e.V. was founded by the Swiss singer Franziska Welti in early 2013 and has since developed a diverse repertoire of international folk songs, especially from Eastern and southern Europe.

The 35 women are also open to musical experiments and have been involved in three premieres in Switzerland and Germany since 2016. Works by the Berlin composer Mayako Kubo and the Swiss composer Andreas Stahel.

For the anniversary year 2023, some exciting concerts are planned: The annual singing at the Fête de la Musique on June 21, in September two concerts with the wonderful band Tworna and at the end of November a workshop and concert with our friend Tar Buadze, the singer and the singer Choir director from Georgia.
