Těšínské Divadlo

The Těšín Theater (Polish: Teatr Cieszyński) is located in Český Těšín and is currently the only Czech professional theater, which includes two artistic ensembles performing in different languages ​​- the Czech and Polish scenes. This fact is caused both by the fact that a relatively large Polish national minority lives in the region of Těšín Silesia (up to 60,000 inhabitants), and also by the fact that Český Těšín is located on the Czech-Polish border. The Těšín Theater has been one of the main organizers of the International Theater Festival On the Border since 1991. It is also the only theater with a professional Polish troupe outside of Poland.
