The Underground Youth
Since the age of 16, the frontman has been writing amateur poetry, and when he heard Bob Dylan for the first time, he realized that he didn't need more than a few chords in a row to transform poetry into songs. In 2008, Craig Dyer originally from the North of England from the city of Blackpool started recording the first demos at home. Through a friend he met Tom (originally from Liverpool), who started playing in The Underground Youth on guitar, his mysterious wife Olya, originally from Siberia, plays drums (floor tom and snare drum). The title The Underground Youth was originally the title of one of Craig's first poems. The Underground Youth are somewhere between psychedelic rock, post punk, darkness and film, Craig's creative sense of freedom comes, according to him, somewhere in the middle of the night, when in the darkness and silence something begins to emerge from nothing.
In 2013 they signed The Underground Youth signed a contract with Fuzz Club Records, when their records gradually began to be re-released under the label. Morally Barren and Voltage were originally released in 2009, Mademoiselle and Sadovaya in 2010, Delirium< /em> and the Low Slow Needle EP in 2011. Then in 2015, the album Haunted was released with an already heavy, almost "depecha-like" by sound. Craig used to make copies of the albums himself and mail them to people who reached out to him online. Then he uploaded all the music to the Internet so that it could reach anyone. It later merged with a new label, Fuzz Club Records. The records were originally recorded and released on vinyl. The last released album Nostalgia's Glass was released in 2023.
