Tomáš Brauner
He was born in Prague and studied oboe and conducting at the local conservatory. In 2005 he graduated from the Faculty of Music of the Academy of Music and Performing Arts (conducting) and subsequently a study internship at the Universität Für Musik und Darstellende Kunst. Five years later, he became a laureate of the international conductor competition Dimitrise Mitropoulos organized in Athens Greek.
the artistic career of the opera conductor began in 2007 at the J. K. Tyl Theater in Pilsen, where he studied or conducted a large number of opera titles. In 2008 he made his debut at the National Theater in Prague with the performance of Verdi Otell. He also presented himself at the National Moravian -Silesian Theater in Ostrava, Palacio de Belllas Artes in Mexico City or at the Slovak National Theater. In 2013–2018 he held the position of Chief Conductor of the Pilsen Philharmonic, with which he won the Classic Prague Awards 2017 in the category of Recording of the Year for CD The complete work for the cello and orchestra Bohuslav Martinů . Subsequently, he became Chief Conductor of the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic in Zlín and the main visiting conductor of the Pilsen Philharmonic. It also cooperates with other leading symphony orchestras and is invited to important international festivals. Since the 2020/2021 season, Tomáš Brauner has been chief conductor of the Symphony Orchestra of Prague. m. Prague FOK.
